Keeping Your Kids Safe Online

If you have children, there’s a strong chance they spend more time on the internet than you do — and often they have no idea about the warning signs for dangerous or illegal content, the threat of cyber-bullying, or how identity theft occurs.

If you’ve already talked to them about these issues — that’s a great start.

But setting up parental controls via the Revolution WiFi app can also play a large part in helping to keep your kids, and their personal information, safe and secure. And, sometimes, parental controls can simply help limit the amount of time your kids spend staring at an electronic screen — and that’s a pretty good outcome, too.

Taking control

If you haven’t downloaded the Revolution WiFi app, it’s free and easy. Simply go to the Apple app or Google Play store and look for Revolution WiFi (Claverack Communications).

Setting up basic parental controls takes just a few minutes and allows you to set profiles and assign devices for basic on/off control. You can shut off internet access to certain devices at certain times or set time limits on any profile.
