Maximize Your Wi-Fi Speeds
Revolution’s fiber-optic internet provides the fastest and most reliable speeds available. But if your devices aren’t as fast* as you think they should be, consider these factors:
How old are your connected devices?
Older devices with slower processors may not be able to handle the speed Revolution provides. It’s best to upgrade your hardware every few years.
How many devices are using your internet connection at once?
The more devices connected to your network, the lower the speeds and bandwidth available for each device. Additionally, the Wi-Fi signal weakens the further your device is from the router. For devices like smart TVs, gaming consoles, or work computers, use an Ethernet cable to connect directly to the GigaSpire (modem/router) or use ExperienceIQ (accessible via the Revolution WiFi app) to prioritize bandwidth.
Are you using the equipment provided by Revolution?
Equipment added to your network or moved within your home after installation can sometimes cause issues. This is because new devices or changes in the placement of existing devices can interfere with the network’s configuration and signal strength. Additionally, we cannot troubleshoot effectively if our equipment is not in use, as we need to ensure that all components are functioning correctly within the original setup.
At Revolution, we want our customers to have the best experience possible. If you have any questions or feel that your Wi-Fi is not performing optimally, please contact us.
*For the most accurate speed test, use the Revolution WiFi app. See RevolutionBroadband.net/wi-fi for details.
